It is required that the material used for manufacturing the spot welding electrode should not only have good conductivity and thermal conductivity, but also should be able to bear the role of high temperature and high pressure. Common electrode materials are copper and copper alloy. In special welding occasions, tungsten, molybdenum, aluminum oxide and other high-temperature resistant powder sintered materials are also selected.
